Entrance pass
These pass figures are from the National Park Service fee page, last updated June 6, 2026.
A private vehicle with 15 seats or fewer, and everyone in it, costs $35 and is valid for 1 to 7 days.
A motorcycle costs $30 for 7 days, for up to two bikes and four people total.
A person age 16 or older without a vehicle, on a bike, hiking, or walking, costs $20 and is valid for 1 to 7 days. Under 16, the park does not charge a pass.
A Zion-only annual pass costs $70. The park sells it in person to U.S. citizens and residents. It lasts 12 months and covers the pass holder plus passengers in a non-commercial vehicle.
A non-U.S. resident age 16 or older pays an extra $100 per person on top of the standard pass, unless they enter with an annual pass or an America the Beautiful pass.
The pass is non-transferable. If you leave and come back, including a stop in Springdale and a return on foot or by shuttle, show the same pass.
Fee-free entrance days in 2026 for U.S. citizens and residents are February 16, May 25, June 14, July 3 to 5, August 25, September 17, October 27, and November 11. Other fees can still apply.
Angels Landing and some wilderness trips need a separate permit. The fee page does not list that permit price.
The park planning page, last updated August 4, 2026, says you do not need a reservation, permit, or ticket to enter the park or to ride the shuttle. You still need a pass, and special hikes still need permits. The park is open all year. Visitor center hours change by season.
America the Beautiful
- Resident annual pass, $80
- Non-resident annual pass, $250
- Senior annual pass, $20
- Senior lifetime pass, $80

Canyon and Springdale shuttles
These clocks are from the Zion Canyon shuttle page, last updated July 1, 2026. They match the February 6, 2026 schedule news for the windows below. The schedule can change. The July 1 tables start on May 17. For dates before that, use the shuttle page.
The shuttle is free to ride. You do not need a ticket or a reservation for the bus. You still pay the park fee to enter.
Buses come about every 5 to 10 minutes in the canyon and about every 10 to 15 minutes in Springdale.
The ride from the visitor center to the Temple of Sinawava takes about 45 minutes. A canyon round trip takes about an hour and a half.
During shuttle season, private vehicles cannot use Zion Canyon Scenic Drive, including before the first bus and after the last. The Zion-Mt. Carmel Highway, Kolob Terrace Road, and Kolob Canyons Scenic Drive stay open to private vehicles.
The Springdale line has 9 stops. The south end is Hotel De Novo. The north end is Zion Canyon Village at the pedestrian entrance. Walk the footbridge to the visitor center to catch the canyon bus. Pay the entrance fee at that pedestrian entrance.
The Springdale shuttle and the canyon shuttle do not start in Hurricane. Hurricane is on the SunTran Zion route into Springdale, along with St. George, Washington, La Verkin, Virgin, and Springdale. Fare and stop times are on the city page.
Pets are not allowed on either shuttle. A trained service dog may ride. A dog that only provides comfort counts as a pet. Pets are not allowed on trails except the Pa'rus Trail.
There is no eating or smoking on the bus. You may carry capped water only.
Do not count on the last bus. If it is full or you miss it, the walk back is long, and rangers will not drive you. The Zion Lodge desk may have a list of after-hours vans. Price and availability vary.
Bikes that are not fat-tire bikes and not e-bikes, and strollers, can go on the front rack if the rider loads them.
The wheelchair lift allows a combined 600 lb. The chair can be no larger than 45 inches long or 25 inches wide. A medical vehicle exception needs a permit from the visitor center desk.
You cannot board up-canyon at Big Bend, stop 8, at Canyon Junction, stop 3, or at the Human History Museum, stop 2. Everyone gets off at the Temple of Sinawava and at the visitor center.
Buses usually run daily from March through November, plus a late December holiday window. Private vehicles are usually allowed on the scenic drive from December through February. That general season is not the clock table. Use the table, then check the shuttle page.
